About Vchord & vchord.pgsty.com
Vchord (vchord) is a PostgreSQL extension designed for scalable, high-performance, and disk-friendly vector similarity search, developed as the architectural successor to pgvecto.rs.
This repository (pgsty/vchord.pgsty.com) and website (https://vchord.pgsty.com/) provide a complete, fast, local-first documentation and technical blog reference for pgsty/vchord, pgsty/vchord_bm25, and pgsty/pg_tokenizer, maintained by the Pigsty community using the OINK 1.4.0 documentation framework.
pgsty/vchord, pgsty/vchord_bm25, and pgsty/pg_tokenizer are community-maintained forks of tensorchord/VectorChord, tensorchord/VectorChord-bm25, and tensorchord/pg_tokenizer.rs. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TensorChord Inc. See Attribution and Trademark Policy for details.

vchord.pgsty.com is maintained by the PGSTY community to provide a comprehensive, searchable documentation and engineering reference for the Vchord extension suite (vchord, vchord_bm25, and pg_tokenizer).
Stewardship & Maintenance Statement
TensorChord Inc., the original creator of VectorChord, VectorChord-bm25, and pg_tokenizer.rs, has wound down operations and ceased active maintenance of the upstream repositories. At the request of the original authors, the PGSTY community took over maintenance of all three extensions:
- Supply-Chain & Compatibility Continuity: PGSTY maintains the repositories, adapts the extensions to newer PostgreSQL (
PG 14–18+) andpgrx(0.17+) versions, and publishes reproducible RPM/DEB packages across mainstream Linux distributions. - Feature Roadmap Policy: PGSTY does not commit to developing new features; feature requests and roadmap items are evaluated on a best-effort basis as maintainer capacity allows.
- Security Reporting: Security vulnerabilities and critical bug reports are always welcome via GitHub Issues.
